CROME can be run on any platform with a JAVA capable Web browser. It can run as a JAVA Applet from any intranet/Internet connected computing device.  There are no other requirements.  The applet has been exhaustively tested on many versions of Netscape and Internet Explorer, currently the two most popular Web browsers. CROME has been tested and runs on all versions of the Java (from the JDK 1.02 to the current release), however we recommend staying away from some of the older Java versions that had many bugs (see below).
